I'm currently working at Psyop in Venice Beach. Super awesome crew. Recently aired is our Best Buy spots featuring Kenneth the Blue Elf. I animated the Elves in Red Pants in the beginning of "Economy on the Naughty List":
For"Holiday without the Hassel", responsibilities include Santa shots: "I'm afraid so." & "No Shipping?" - Elf Crowd reaction:"huh?" - Elves dancing at the end.

Neeeeews Team! Assemble!
Prep & Landing - premieres tuesday december 8th, 2009 - 8:30/7:30c - on ABC
Wow, its already November! Things are still kicking at Disney. The Princess and the Frog wrap party was amazing! Mark your calenders for Tues, Dec. 8th for an awesome treat! The first ever ABC Christmas Special by Disney, Prep & Landing, will be here to spread some holiday cheers. I'm sure this 30 min special will make its mark as a holiday favorite. Check the official site here for more info!
Two weeks into Disney = Super Awesomeness. I am being mentored by the amazing and talented Renato dos Anjos. A great collection of talent are working in those studio walls and I am excited to be a part of it. The Princess and the Frog is out in theatres soon (2d is back with John Musker and Ron Clements on the team!). The new villain Facilier looks frikn cool. Since Disney has Visual Development screens of Rapunzel on their site, I'd like to share them here..and of course I couldn't resist posting the Disney intro... bc it has SteamBoat Willie...and Steamboat Willie rocks!
Okay, so I'm not sure if anybody out there has heard of this company called Walt Disney Animation Studios. Well, it turns out I'm going to be animating @ their Burbank, CA studios. In a matter of just a few weeks, I managed to finish up work on the East Coast and fly out to the West to start on a new adventure. Unreal.
Hopefully in the near future, I'll upload the animations I created for High Heels & Bananas... and also share as much progress as Disney will allow me.. Until then.. CHEERS!!
Well, it has only been 1 1/2 months since my last post, but it feels like forever! My Pete Tong Acting Test received some great reviews from artists and colleagues. I even got some press from lineboil.com which serves "daily bowls of hot animation." Some of my latest clients includes High Heels and Bananas, who produce really great work for TV & Web. The current project I'm working on for them is looking awesome. In late June, I was an exhibitor at the 2009 Philadelphia Film Market where I met some talented film makers, artists, and actors. I met up with animator John Dilworth, president of Stretch Films and creator of the TV series "Courage the Cowardly Dog." An amazing artist and animator, John Dilworth also worked on classic nickelodeon series, including "Doug," in which I'm a huge fan of. It was really cool of him to take some time to check out my work, which he digged!
I also met up with Philadelphia based production studio, Backseat Conceptions. I got to work on the latest "69 Eyes" music video directed by Joe Frantz and Bam Margera. Being a HUGE CKY fan, it was great to meet Joe Frantz, who directs almost all of CKY's music videos. Big shout out to Backseat Conception's Doug Sakmann aka Mr. Electric from CKY's A#1 Roller Rager Video for letting me hang out at the studio and the 941 Theatre. And I can't forget to shout out a new upcoming "bro-mantic" comedy film called "Swooped," starring and directed by Shaun Paul Costello and Joe Gariffo. If you like a film with some good laughs, don't miss out on "Swooped" ..coming soon!
Alrighty then, that about sums it up for this round. Hopefully I'll have some more updates soon. Until then, LATERS! ...RIP Michael Jackson.

Bienvenidos!
Its been a while since my last post. So, I finally updated my current work in progress. I haven't animated the second character yet, but I threw him in there for composition purposes. You can check it out here or click on the picture below, or go to my animation page...you got all kinds of options! Im planning some big things for post-production on this one, so keep checking the site out for more updates. This side project is taking way longer than I expected, but thats what happens when you got a 1,000,001 other things going on. Since the new Bionic Commando and the new CKY Album hits stores today, I don't know if I'm going to be as productive this week, but I gotta reward myself sometimes for all the hard work I do. 0=)

Happy St. Patty's Day!
Quick update for those who still read this blog (thanks dudes). Im still working on my latest character animation test. You can check out my progress on my animation page. Don't know when it'll be done, but I promise it'll be solid animation. Here is a logo animation I created for The Longtail Ad. Its an intro for a 1 min advert for Signs by Tomorrow and Print Today Stores.

New Character Animation Done!
Inspired by the greatest telephone pranksters ever, the Jerky Boys, this was an acting test I created to practice more character animation. The Sergio Rig screams Frank Rizzo whenever I see it, so I finally took the time to animate him. If you weren't around in the 90's or just don't have a clue on who Johnny B. or Kamal are, ..well...you're missing out on some amazingly hilarious characters!!
This is a keyed animation I created in 2007. I felt that it needed some re-rendering and music added to receive a proper Capoeira vibe. Axe!!

Happy New Year!
Whats Crackalackin!? Lately, I've been animating on my own time to get better, and in the hype of exploring new rigs, new workflow techniques, and compositing solutions, I managed to get out a quick project. It all started out with a simple run cycle while I was reading about the remake of the Nintendo's Classic game, Mike Tyson's Punch Out. One of my personal favorites next to Bionic Commando, Punch Out is scheduled to be released on the Wii. I speak for all the old school gamers out there when I say I hope Nintendo deosn't kill this amazing classic. Enjoy!
Special thanks to N. Mallesha for permission to use your bicycle rig. You saved me time!
Thank you Sergio Rig Artists: Tim LinkLater, Joel Smith, Lisa Griffiths, & Andy Seredy.
I am a big fan of feedback, so to all my fellow animators, TD's, modelers, broadcast designers, graphic artists, employers, gentlemen/gentlewomen, scholars, web surfers, you-tubers, meat eaters, vegans, vegetarians, democrats, republicans, anyone, anybody,...don't be shy, hollah back!
Gobble Gobble, Happy Turkey Day...Cheers!!

Sooooo its been a while..
I finally got caught up on sleep which is always awesome. And of course, most importantly, I got caught up on the playstation 3... hehe....the poor console was collecting dust during production. The last couple of weeks at So! Animation was an insomiac experience, but all of us busted our rears to create our best looking commercial to date. Our newest Virgin Media Advert starrs Kelly Osbourne and opens today in UK theatres! I was reading that Kelly recently got engaged, so congrats to her and hurray for So! Animation for completing this extremely challenging project! I couldn't be happier in working with such an awesome group of artists. Ballah!!
In addition to materials and rendering, I did some effects animation (the Shrink's sweet leather jacket & jammies and the sofa) and hit up some facial cleanup animation on Kelly. The opening shot of "The Friary" was made possible by numerous hours of hardcore labor and its a drag that its only 2 seconds of screen time =( , but at least it looks fantastic =)
Here is a quote by Kelly Osbourne herself:
"I am thrilled with the animation. The likeness is uncanny and they've even got all of my tattoos in the right places."

Website Updated!!!! Ballah!!
I dont know how, but I found some time to learn and build a new layout for the site. Im pulling crazy-silly hours at So! Animation trying to get this final Virgin Media commercial out...soooo tired. The new Sinupret commercial I worked on aired nationally on TV and is also playing on the Panasonic JumboTron in Times Square! I will have it posted on the site as soon as I get a copy of it.
Enjoy the new site!
**edit:
Well, just so happens I got a copy of the Sinupret spot shortly after. I was involved in some Materials work on the leaves and Modeled, Textured, and Animated the Sinupret Box (basic, but whatever makes the client happy). Finished spot looks awesome!

Crazy busy finishing our last Virgin Media advert for this year. I thought I’d quickly share some pictures of the MelB premiere in UK Theatres. Check it out here! (or click on picture)

Finally! Our latest Virgin Media advert, starring Melanie Brown aka Scary Spice, hits theatres today in the UK. Along with assisting in the materials/rendering process, I got to do some effects animation (Mel B’s hair and the Plastic Sergeon’s coat). The experience on working on such a high quality project with So! Animation has been absolutely incredible.
Here’s a quote of what Mel B thought of our project: "I’m over the moon with my animated alter ego and the advert really made me giggle! It’s definitely fresh and original and I’m going to make sure all my friends and family go to the cinema to see it."
Hey hey! Just a quick update. Our next Virgin Media commercial is scheduled to ship out soon. I wish I can show you guys, but not allowed until it airs. In the mean time, I got a new updated Demo Reel,Old Blue’s Lagoon in 720×480, and threw in some commercial pilots in the animation page. That should last you people til we get this ad in the UK theatres. Laters!

More awesome news!! First off, I would just like to say that The Dark Knight is probably one of the best films I have ever seen. I can go on about how great of an experience this was, but I’ll leave that for the online movie reviews.
Moving foward, I am working on our next Virgin Media commercial at So! Animation and am finally doing some animation! My co-animators are frikn amazingly talented and am having a blast working with them. This next one is looking superb and I think audiences are going to enjoy this amazing eye candy. I want to fly to England just so I can see how it would look in theatres.

Exciting News!! I’ve been working for So! Animation in NYC since March and our first episode for Virgin Media has been made public. It includes Simply Red singer M ick Hucknall and Virgin founder himself, Sir Richard Branson.
The client (Virgin) loves the spot and has been getting great feedback in the UK! It will actually be shown on the big screen in all Odeon and Cineworld cinemas starting June20th (in the UK only, since it is promoting a Virgin Media video and on demand service). Can’t take credit for any animation, however, I was involved in materials\textures and rendering. A lot of long hours were put in this project from our AMAZINGLY talented crew at So! Animation. Our next episode is already looking AWESOME, so I’ll keep you guys posted on that.
Along with the Virgin Media project, I’ve been working on a spot for the History Channel. Don’t want to go into too much detail, but all I can say for now is that its looking pretty great. Ok, I’ve been excitingly ranting so Im going to end it here. LATERS!!
